My Father

My father died today. He will be sorely missed. While in no joyous spirit (in fact, it seems surreal), this I recall: that he is entrusted to the same One as who was entrusted with the spirit of Christ. Now, Christ has been raised up to glory and will himself raise back the dead, since he has life in himself, given to him by the Father. God, do not delay, but 'yearn for the work of your hands.'

  1. I am so sorry to hear that Sean! Words cannot do justice to the emotions of sympathy I have for you now. Oh my brother I'm so sorry this happened to you.

You are right "he is entrusted to the same One as who was entrusted with the spirit of Christ."

    1. And words are not needed, but your concern, which they can't express, is.

  2. Sean,

You have my deep, sincere condolences. To have your father pass, when you are so young must be very difficult.

May the blessings of Jehovah God be on you and yours...

    Grace and peace,

    David

    1. Thanks, David. Of all the psalms, which is my favorite book in the Scriptures, I recall the 77th the most. And this I shall recall, that there are a new heavens, and a new earth. Not like the former shall the new be, but God will be all things to everyone so that he might satisfy the desire of every living thing.

  3. Hi Sean. I was shocked to read your note. Probably because I assumed your father is much younger than I am. I was also shocked because I don't remember ever coming across of note of yours that was so personal. I got to enjoy my father until I was in my 50's, and even then I cried for days. So to lose a parent at your relatively young age must be hard. So now both us get the joy of seeing our respective father in the new system. Keep strong (even as today's Watchtower study recommended). Your "making the truth your own" through your blog research will help you. Pray often.
